Sip & Savor: Holiday Cocktails & Seafood Recipes

On the first day of Christmas the Crab Place gave to me - Salmon Orzo with a Cranberry Martini! Not sure yet what to serve guests for your holiday party? We have compiled a list of our favorite seafood recipes and cocktail pairings to go perfectly with your sugar cookies and ugly sweaters.

Baked Salmon with Orzo paired with a Gingerbread Martini

Serve this creamy, cheesy orzo and tender salmon with a Christmas trademark cookie - in cocktail form! It's not-too-sweet and with a touch of Bailey's, will keep you awake to hide the gifts after the children have gone to sleep. (Shh we won't tell.)

How to make the Gingerbread Martini:

Combine:

  • 1.5 oz vodka

  • 1.5 oz caramel syrup

  • 1.5 oz Bailey's Irish Cream

  • Pinch of ginger

Create a festive rim with crushed gingerbread cookies or brown sugar with a pinch of ginger.

Sage Butter Pasta and King Crab paired with a White Christmas Mojito

Maryland may not get a White Christmas but we've got you covered with this White Christmas Mojito - the creamy citrus notes pair marvelously with the savory sage and buttery crab legs, tossed together with homemade pasta. Want a dinner to impress? This is it.

How to make the White Christmas Mojito:
  1. Muddle 12 mint leaves, 2 Tbsp fresh lime juice, and 1 Tbsp sugar in a glass

  2. In a blender, mix 2 oz coconut cream and 1.5 oz white rum. Pour into glass

  3. Top off with club soda

Garnish with mint and lime!

Herb-Stuffed Shrimp paired with a Cranberry Spritz

With the option to serve over rice as an entree, these delicious buttery herb-stuffed shrimp are also a stand-alone crowd pleaser when plated as an appetizer. Sparkle them up with a Cranberry Spritz!

How to make the Cranberry Spritz:

Combine:

  • 5 oz cold Prosecco

  • 1 oz Orange Liquor

  • 1 oz cranberry juice

Garnish with a sprig of thyme!

Snow Crab Mac & Cheese with a N/A Poinsettia Punch

Don't worry, we checked our list twice and made sure not to exclude the kids - or anyone who loves a festive drink without the hangover! The fruity taste of this Poinsettia Punch pairs perfectly with the comforting familiarity of Mac & Cheese, this time taken to new heights with the sweetness of Snow Crab.

How to make Poinsettia Punch:

In a large pitcher or punch bowl, mix together:

  • 1 can frozen orange juice concentrate

  • 36 oz ginger ale

  • 4 cups cranberry juice

  • 1 cup pineapple juice

Garnish with fruit of your choice and provide candy cane straws!

We ensure these yuletide libations will keep you and yours warm and cozy this holiday season, especially when paired with our premium quality seafood. These dinner and drink pairings will become a quick tradition once your loved ones can't stop asking for more. Cheers!
